ROUND TIERS
Move in 2 inches from the tier's outer edge Cut a circle, then slice 1 inch pieces within the circle Move in another 2 inches Cut another circle and slice 1 inch pieces and so on (continue this process until the tier is completely cut)
SQUARE TIERS
Move 2 inches from the outer edge and cut across Then slice 1 inch pieces of cake Move in another 2 inches Slice again (continue this process until the tier is completely cut)
